L’esame Cisco 100-101 Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices Part 1 (ICND1) è associato con la Cisco Certified Entry Network Technician (CCENT) ed è il primo passo per raggiungere il livello Associate di certificazione. Per prepararsi si può frequentare il corso Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices Part 1 (ICND1). Questo esame prove di conoscenza e le competenze necessarie per la corretta installazione, funzionamento e risolvere i problemi di una piccola rete.
L’esame comprende argomenti sul funzionamento delle reti dati IP, tecnologie di switching in ambito LAN, IPv6, le tecnologie di routing IP, servizi IP (DHCP, NAT, ACL), la sicurezza dei dispositivi di rete e la risoluzione dei problemi di base.
